Chinese National Arrested at JFK for Photographing Nebraska Military Base

Tianrui Liang, 21, a Chinese national, was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport on federal charges for allegedly illegally photographing Air Force aircraft at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. Liang entered the United States on a valid B1/B2 visa via Vancouver, Canada, on March 28, 2026, and drove to New York after being confronted by the FBI in Nebraska. A federal magistrate initially released Liang on April 7, but federal prosecutors successfully appealed, and Liang was returned to federal custody on April 10, 2026, by order of the Chief District Court Judge for the District of Nebraska.

Strike Force Charges Two Chinese Nationals, Restrains $700M Crypto

Fergeson Vulnerable Adult Neglect Conviction Appeal Affirmed

The Virginia Supreme Court affirmed Jason Joseph Fergeson's misdemeanor conviction for abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult under Code § 18.2-369, rejecting his argument that his girlfriend Lindsey Thompson was not a 'vulnerable adult' because her incapacitation from a drug overdose was temporary rather than chronic. Commonwealth v. Richerson, DUI Conviction Reinstated

The Virginia Supreme Court reversed the Court of Appeals and reinstated Lonnie Lewis Richerson's conviction for driving under the influence, third offense within ten years. The Court held that sufficient circumstantial evidence supported the conviction, including the odor of alcohol from the vehicle and Richerson's person, his glassy eyes, slurred speech, sweating, and avoiding eye contact with officers. Butcher v. General R.V. Center - Attorney Fees After Settlement

Virginia Supreme Court Reverses Miranda Ruling, Fayne

The Virginia Supreme Court reversed the Court of Appeals' judgment in Fayne v. Commonwealth, reinstating the circuit court's denial of Fayne's motion to suppress. NH AG Updates on Ashland Officer-Involved Shooting Autopsy Findings

The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office released autopsy findings for Demitri Zimmer, age 24 of Laconia, NH, who died from multiple gunshot wounds during an officer-involved shooting on April 20, 2026 on Main Street in Ashland. Peter Mancini Arrested for Unemployment Fraud
