If you need to monitor dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of sources, setting them up one-by-one through the UI can be time-consuming. Here are strategies to scale your monitoring efficiently.
1. Use the Chatbot for Batch Setup
The Changeflow AI chatbot can set up multiple sources at once through conversation.
How to do it:
- Click the chat icon in your Changeflow dashboard
- Describe all sources you want to monitor in one message
- The AI will create them for you automatically
Example prompts:
"Set up monitoring for these competitor pricing pages: [list of 10 URLs]. Check them daily at 9am and alert me to any pricing changes."
"I need to track SEC 8-K filings for these 50 companies: AAPL, GOOGL, MSFT, [etc.]. Check hourly during market hours."
"Monitor these 20 FDA guidance document pages for any new publications. Tag them all as #regulatory and check weekly."
Benefits:
- Set up dozens of sources in one conversation
- Apply consistent settings across all sources
- Natural language - no forms to fill out
- Can specify tags, frequency, and prompts in bulk
2. API Integration for Programmatic Setup
For enterprise needs, use the Changeflow API to automate source creation.
Best for:
- 100+ sources to set up
- Automated workflow integration
- Dynamic source creation based on your systems
- Regular batch additions (e.g., new competitors monthly)
How it works:
- Get your API key from account settings
- Use the API to programmatically create sources
- Script the creation of sources from spreadsheets or databases
- Integrate with your existing tools and workflows
Example use cases:
- Import 500 competitor URLs from a CSV file
- Automatically monitor any new supplier added to your ERP system
- Create sources for every new client when they're added to your CRM
- Sync with your portfolio management system to monitor all holdings
