Copper & Glass Federal Credit Union Liquidated; OMEGA Federal Credit Union Assumes Accounts

The NCUA liquidated Copper & Glass Federal Credit Union in Glassport, Pennsylvania after determining it was insolvent with no prospect for viable operations. OMEGA Federal Credit Union of Wexford, Pennsylvania assumed all assets, loans, and member shares. The 1,225 members of the closed credit union transitioned to OMEGA with no interruption in services.

Veronica-Diaz v. U.S. Bank National Association - Civil Rights Employment

U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California docketed a civil rights employment case, Veronica-Diaz v. U.S. Bank National Association et al (Case No. 4:26-cv-02844), removed from Alameda County Superior Court. U.S. Bancorp and U.S. Bank National Association filed the notice of removal with a $405 filing fee. A corporate disclosure statement was also filed.

Leuwam Tesfai Appointed Executive Director of CPUC

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) announced the appointment of Leuwam Tesfai as Executive Director. Tesfai, who began her career at CPUC as an intern 15 years ago, now leads the 1,600-person agency that regulates utilities and influences California's economy as the fourth largest in the world. Prior to this appointment, she served as Deputy Executive Director for Energy and Climate Policy.
