- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Follow on LinkedIn King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are planned next week on more than 10 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, under several ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Bristol Oxford Valley Road/Bath Road between U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Bristol Borough and Bristol, Middletown, and Falls townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
- Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Oxford Valley Road between Big Oak Road and Stoney Hill Road in Lower Makefield Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Comly Avenue/Highland Avenue between Route 413 (Bellevue Avenue) and U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) in Langhorne Manor Borough and Middletown Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
Chester CountyTuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Kaolin Road/Limestone Road between Schoolhouse Lane and Southwood Road in Kennett and New Garden townships for paving.
Montgomery CountySunday, April 19, through Friday, April 24, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Harriton Road/Morris Avenue between Millbank Road and Spring Mill Road in Lower Merion Township for paving and base repair.
Sunday, April 19, through Friday, April 24, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Gulph Road between Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road) and County Line Road in Upper Merion Township for milling and paving.
Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Fort Washington Avenue between Highland Avenue and Susquehanna Road in Upper Dublin Township for inlet replacement.
Monday, April 20, through Friday, May 1, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Tournament Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Horsham Township for milling and paving.
Philadelphia CountyMonday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Front Street between Oregon Avenue and Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) for milling and paving.
Tuesday, April 21, through Thursday, April 23, a 24-hour lane closure will be in place on southbound Front Street between Oregon Avenue and Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) for inlet replacement.
Wednesday, April 22, through Friday, April 24, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Rhawn Street between Oxford Avenue and State Road for milling.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
