Washington State SHARP Workplace Safety Research Program Overview

The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) describes the SHARP (Safety & Health Assessment & Research for Prevention) program, a workplace safety and health research and prevention initiative. SHARP conducts occupational health surveillance including musculoskeletal disorders, respiratory disease, lead exposure, heat-related illness, trucking injury prevention, and work-related fatalities, in partnership with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health since 2005. The program also publishes an internal research policy on financial conflicts of interest for Public Health Service-funded investigators under 42 CFR Part 50.

Online Safety Training Materials Library

Cal/OSHA Reminds Employers to Post 2025 Injury Summary by February 1

Cal/OSHA is reminding California employers to post their 2025 annual summary of work-related injuries and illnesses (Form 300A) by February 1, 2026. The summary must be posted in a visible location at each worksite from February 1 through April 30, even if no recordable injuries occurred. Certain employers must also electronically submit workplace injury records by March 2, 2026.
