- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Follow on LinkedIn Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that roadway and bridge repair will occur at night next week on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) under a $37.9 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges in the City of Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on sections of I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in both directions between the U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and I-676 interchanges. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
