HUD withdraws Fair Housing guidance documents

HUD's Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) has withdrawn all existing guidance documents that fail three criteria: (1) statutorily prescribed, (2) interpretation consistent with statute/regulation, and/or (3) decreasing compliance burdens. The withdrawal, effective September 17, 2025, is part of a comprehensive review under Executive Orders 14192 and 14219 to reduce unnecessary compliance burdens.
