Stakeholder Regulation Summit Guidelines

The Kansas Board of Pharmacy is presenting a new opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback regarding the Board’s rules and regulations (Kansas Statutes Annotated Chapter 65, Article 16 ). Each individual is invited to submit to the Board regulations they wish for the Board to review, update, or revoke by October 31, 2025. The Board requests that each individual who submits regulations also provide the following:

  • Proposed change(s) utilizing Microsoft Word’s tracked changes or comments;
  • Underlying reason(s) for the suggested change;
  • Additional information that supports the proposed change (data, testimony, examples from
    other states, etc.); and

  • Optional - Contact information so the Board may, if necessary, inquire further.
    The Board will review each regulation submitted, regardless of whether it includes contact information. However, the Board encourages including contact information, as it may wish to inquire further about the submitted regulation. While there is no limit to the number of regulations an individual may submit, the Board recommends that you prioritize your submissions. Please rank your regulations from 1 to 5, with '1' indicating the most important regulation to you and '5' the least. This will help the Board understand your priorities and ensure that the most critical regulations are given due consideration. For instance, if you submit 10 regulations, your rankings might look like this:

Once the Board receives your regulations, the Board will review and prioritize them. However, please note that while the Board will review each regulation, it cannot guarantee that the proposed change will be implemented or that it will be implemented by 2026. Any amendments resulting from this summit will follow the Board’s standard process , which includes initial review by the Board, stakeholder feedback, the administrative rule-making process, and public comments. To submit a regulation for consideration or for further inquiries, please email bradford.deyoung@ks.gov. The Board looks forward to your feedback! 2
