2026 Egmont WG/RG Meetings Chair's Statement, Arusha, Tanzania

The Egmont Group published its Chair's Statement following the January 2026 Working and Regional Group Meetings in Arusha, Tanzania, which drew approximately 400 delegates from member FIUs, international partners, and observers. Seven new Memoranda of Understanding were signed to expand secure pathways for financial intelligence exchange on money laundering and terrorist financing. The Egmont Committee reviewed progress on Egmont Secure Web modernization, data matching implementation, and security audits, while Heads of FIU advanced work on elevating operational independence and autonomy to formal Egmont Group requirements.
