The Maryland Public Service Commission announced a public hearing for April 16, 2026, regarding TPE MD KE77, LLC's application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to construct a 5.0 MW solar generating facility on 53 acres in Kent County. Turning Point Energy submitted the CPCN application in July 2025 under Case No. 9799.

Proposed Waivers for American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation Services Projects

The Department of Education's OSERS proposes to waive the five-year project period limitation in the Education Department General Administrative Regulations, allowing 43 American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation Services (AIVRS) projects and one AIVRTTAC center to receive additional funding beyond their current fifth-year period. The proposed extensions would extend funding through September 30, 2027. Public comments are invited through May 4, 2026.

CERT-Bund issued Security Advisory WID-SEC-2026-0961 disclosing multiple high-severity vulnerabilities (CVSS Base Score 8.8) in Netgate pfSense Plus and CE software. Affected versions include pfSense Plus <26.03, <26.07 and CE <2.8.1. Remote attackers can exploit these flaws to execute arbitrary code or conduct cross-site scripting attacks. Mitigation measures are available.

CERT-Bund issued a security advisory (WID-SEC-2026-0960) identifying multiple vulnerabilities in HCL BigFix Platform affecting versions prior to 11.0.6. The vulnerabilities carry a CVSS Base Score of 8.8 (high) and a Temporal Score of 7.7 (high). Local attackers can exploit these flaws to bypass security mechanisms and disclose sensitive information. Mitigation measures are available.
