After Applied Materials, another major tech firm faces export control charges in coordinated semiconductor crackdown.
The Bureau of Industry and Security issued an order initiating an administrative proceeding against Teledyne FLIR LLC and affiliates for 19 alleged violations of the Export Administration Regulations. The violations involve unauthorized exports of controlled technology, according to the charging documents.
The action follows BIS charges against Applied Materials for 56 export violations worth $126 million and a settlement with Solventum Corporation. Combined, these enforcement actions represent a coordinated campaign targeting semiconductor and dual-use technology exporters.
Export compliance officers at technology firms say the charges signal increased enforcement scrutiny. Companies with international supply chains are reviewing their classification and licensing procedures amid what appears to be an escalated federal focus on controlling sensitive technology exports.
