Oklahoma Nursing License Suspensions and Revocations - March 2025 Board Actions
Summary
The Oklahoma Board of Nursing's Nursing Investigative Division published March 2025 Board Actions listing disciplinary measures against nursing licensees including suspensions and revocations. Named individuals include registered nurses Amanda Urisa, Kimberly Jo Vessells, Misty Michelle Cox, Elizabeth Woodland Davis, and others with licenses revoked for two years with conditions or suspended per statute. Actions were taken under Oklahoma Statutes 59 OS § 567.7 F, 567.8 N, and 567.17 I.
What changed
The Oklahoma Board of Nursing published March 2025 enforcement actions against nursing licensees, including revocations and suspensions issued under Oklahoma Statutes. Several registered nurses had licenses revoked for two years with conditions, while others were placed on suspension with conditions or suspension pending Board hearing. The document also describes automatic suspension triggers under statute, including default from peer assistance programs, dishonored fee payments, and incarceration for misdemeanor or felony convictions.
Healthcare employers utilizing Oklahoma-licensed nursing staff should review the published disciplinary list to verify current credential status of employees. Nurses with listed actions face significant practice restrictions and must comply with Board-ordered conditions for potential reinstatement. Compliance officers should ensure affected staff are removed from patient care assignments pending Board resolution.
