What changed

The Oklahoma Board of Nursing published its July 2025 disciplinary actions affecting 13 licensees including registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Actions taken included 6 revocations with conditions (ranging from 2 to 5 years), 6 suspensions with conditions or pending hearing, and 1 temporary suspension. Revocations were issued under Oklahoma Statute 59 OS § 567.8 for violations including peer assistance program non-compliance, dishonored payment instruments, and other statutory grounds.

Healthcare employers and staffing agencies should verify current licensure status of Oklahoma nursing staff and review existing compliance programs. Nurses seeking reinstatement after revocation must comply with conditions specified in Board Orders and submit written applications to the Board. The Board retains authority for automatic suspension under multiple statutory provisions including 59 OS § 567.17 I for default from peer assistance programs.
