What changed

The newsletter communicates administrative updates and reminders from the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy for licensed massage and bodywork therapists (LMBTs) and establishment owners. Key reminders include the 24-hour annual CE requirement with specific ethics and in-classroom minimums, online renewal procedures through December 31, late renewal fee of $75 after deadline, and the requirement to report unlicensed practice or violations of the Practice Act. The newsletter also announces appointment of two new Board members (Laura Ford and Nancy Harrell) and election of new officers for the 2024-2025 term.

Affected parties—including LMBT licensees, establishment owners, and CE providers—should note the continuing education requirements and ensure compliance with renewal procedures. The newsletter emphasizes the importance of maintaining current contact information with the Board, verifying licenses through the online system, and adhering to display requirements for both individual and establishment licenses.
