What changed

The PSYPACT Commission has proposed new rules that would establish a maximum Annual Assessment fee of $6,000 per jurisdiction and create a mechanism for the Commission to review and modify the fee formula as needed. These changes would affect how much states pay to participate in the psychology interjurisdictional compact.

Psychologists, state psychology boards, and other stakeholders should review the proposed rules and consider submitting comments by the February 20, 2026 deadline to influence the final fee structure. The proposal represents a procedural change to compact governance rather than a substantive change to practice requirements.
