Insurers writing homeowner's insurance for properties in the seven-county metropolitan area or cities of the first class (Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Duluth, Rochester) must file annual reports by May 1. The bulletin provides filing instructions, templates, and an attestation form via the department's website.
Elite Insurance Scheme Vote Creditor Meeting Notice
IVASS announced that Elite Insurance Company Limited, a Gibraltar-based insurer that operated in Italy's surety bond sector, has received court approval to convene creditor meetings for voting on a Proposed Scheme of Arrangement. The Supreme Court of Gibraltar approved the convening on March 13, 2026. Creditor meetings are scheduled for May 7, 2026, with voting deadlines through a dedicated portal by May 6, 2026.
Tennessee Insurance Division NAIC Reaccreditation
The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance announced that its Insurance Division received reaccreditation from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The five-year reaccreditation confirms that Tennessee's insurance regulatory framework meets NAIC financial solvency oversight standards for regulating multi-state insurers. Tennessee currently has 327,685 active licensed insurance producers and domestic insurers wrote $24 billion in premium volume in 2024.
