Warning: KLPP Counterfeit Insurance Policy

IVASS issued a warning regarding a counterfeit draft insurance bond (fideiussoria) bearing the name of KLPP Insurance & Reinsurance Company Ltd, a Cyprus-based insurer that has disavowed the document. KLPP is a legitimate insurer supervised by Cyprus authorities and authorized to operate in Italy under freedom of services in various damage classes including surety bonds (ramo 15 - Cauzione). Italian Auto Insurance Premiums Hit €13B in 2024

IVASS published its statistical bulletin on auto insurance activity, covering r.c. auto, natanti, and terrestrial vehicle bodies (CVT) for 2024 and H1 2025. Healthcare civil liability premiums totaled €691 million (-2.2%), with the top ten insurers holding 94.6% market share and average claims significantly higher for public healthcare structures.

IVASS announced that Elite Insurance Company Limited, a Gibraltar-based insurer that operated in Italy's surety bond sector, has received court approval to convene creditor meetings for voting on a Proposed Scheme of Arrangement.
