Summary
The Department of Defense has submitted a 30-day information collection notice to OMB under the Paperwork Reduction Act for the Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Request for Adjudication and Vetting Records form (OMB Control No. 0704-0561). What changed
The DoD's Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security is seeking OMB clearance for a revised information collection used to process FOIA/Privacy Act requests for personnel vetting records maintained by DCSA. The collection is classified as a "Revision" with 1,005 respondents, 1 response per respondent, and 5 minutes average burden per response.
Compliance teams and affected individuals should note the 30-day public comment period closes April 30, 2026. Comments on the proposed collection should be submitted via www.reginfo.gov. The collection is voluntary and imposes minimal burden (84 total annual hours) on the public.
