Summary

Department of Defense submitted a 30-day information collection notice to OMB for a revised Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Request form used by DCSA Personnel Vetting. The collection affects approximately 1,005 respondents with annual burden of 84 hours. Public comments accepted through April 30, 2026.

What changed

DoD filed a routine Paperwork Reduction Act notice regarding revision to an existing information collection for FOIA/Privacy Act requests. The form is used by individuals requesting their own personnel vetting records from DCSA, with an annual respondent count of 1,005. The revision adds a new use case for referring records under release authority of another Federal Agency. Public comments due April 30, 2026.

This is a standard administrative notice with no new obligations imposed on regulated entities. The respondent burden remains unchanged at 84 annual hours. Compliance teams should be aware that this collection is voluntary and affects individuals or households submitting FOIA/Privacy Act requests. No immediate action required.
