Summary

The Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), a DoD component, announces a 60-day information collection notice under the Paperwork Reduction Act seeking public comment on proposed collection for Pentagon Reservation space use permits. The collection involves DD Form 2798 (OMB Control Number 0704-AUSP) with approximately 30 respondents from for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Comments on the proposed information collection must be received by June 1, 2026.

What changed

The WHS invites public comment on a proposed information collection for Pentagon Reservation space use permits, governed by 32 CFR 234. Respondents seeking to use Pentagon public space (not leased spaces) for activities including group photos, posters, corridor displays, construction, and special events must submit DD Form 2798. The estimated annual burden is 12.5 hours across 30 respondents at 25 minutes per response.

Organizations that may need Pentagon Reservation space permits should review the proposed collection and consider submitting comments by June 1, 2026. Submissions may be made via regulations.gov (DODFRDOC0001-6196) or mail to the Regulatory Division. There is no compliance deadline as this is a request for comments, not a final rule requiring action.
