Baryte Natural Barium Sulphate Export Policy Amended
India DGFT Notification 12/2026-27, dated 17 April 2026, amends the export policy for Baryte (Natural Barium Sulphate) by placing Grade A (Specific Gravity ≥ 4.2) and Grade B (Specific Gravity 4.10–4.20) under the 'Restricted' category, requiring authorisation/licensing from DGFT. Grade CDW baryte (Specific Gravity < 4.0) remains freely exportable. Exporters of Grade A and Grade B baryte must now comply with restricted-category procedures.
RELIEF Export Scheme Adds Egypt and Jordan Under Notification 11/2026-27
India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade has issued Notification No. 11/2026-27, amending Notification No. 65/2025-26 dated 19.03.2026 to expand the Resilience and Logistics for Intervention and Export Facilitation (RELIEF) scheme. Egypt and Jordan are now included as eligible destinations alongside previously notified countries for shipments meant for delivery or transshipment. The amendment provides continued logistics support to exporters affected by disruptions, with all other provisions of the original notification remaining unchanged.
