  • Publication date: April 28 2026
  • Type: Press Releases The initiative follows the Laboratorio Farnesina project, a roadshow that travelled across Italy to provide regions an opportunity for international outreach. The project began in 2023 and has already reached eleven Italian cities, starting with Turin.

With a view to enhancing the role of Italian culture and excellence in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Growth Diplomacy, the project continues as a Growth Laboratory, accompanying “Objective Export: Companies and Territories of Northern Italy towards the 2026 National Export Conference” in Turin on April 29. This is the first of three stages leading up to the 2026 National Export Conference, which will be dedicated throughout the year to the regions and companies of Northern, Central, and Southern Italy.

The Growth Laboratory initiative, developed in partnership with 24ORE Cultura, aims to foster dialogue with professionals in the world of culture, creative industries, and Made in Italy. The initiative will illustrate the Foreign Ministry’s efforts to promote Italy abroad and jointly explore new project ideas to be promoted within the network of Embassies, Consulates, and Italian Cultural Institutes worldwide.

The Turin event will open with a presentation of the Foreign Ministry’s tools for promoting Italy abroad, followed by one-to-one meetings with participants. During these moments of dialogue, the Ministry’s cultural promotion officials will engage with professionals in the cultural sectors, creative industries, and institutions representing the excellence of Made in Italy in the country. The goal is to develop internationalization paths to be promoted through the network of institutional representatives worldwide.

The Growth Laboratory therefore serves as an operational tool for the Foreign Ministry’s Growth Diplomacy program, in which culture and business are integrated into the country’s narrative, representing a significant opportunity for discussion and enhancement of cultural excellence and the fabric of Made in Italy in the regions.
