Description
McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of two (2) Laboratory Steam Sterilizers in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals. The University requires to have the equipment delivered and installed by the end of September 2026. Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted.
The two (2) steam sterilizers will be located within the Central Animal Facility and are required for sterilizing materials entering McMaster University’s Axenic Gnotobiotic Unit (AGU). This is essential for the proper functioning and maintenance of the AGU. The two (2) steam sterilizers are required to fit side by side in a 9 feet 10 inch wide x 20 feet 9 inch length room, with enough clearance for the transfer carriage to load the steam sterilizers (see Appendix B – Floor Plans attached). One (1) transfer carriage and two (2) load cars must be included in the proposal. Proposals must also include training, installation, delivery and one (1) year warranty. This purchase is funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) (www.innovation.ca). This requires pricing to be in CFI format.
