To eliminate the risk of bidder disqualification based on failure to re-submit in response to an Amendment, as required by the new BC Bid rules, BC Hydro has changed its practice as of November 24, 2022, such that all changes to BC Hydro (including Q&As and Addenda) are now treated as “Addenda” (and not “Amendments”) within the BC Bid rules and, as such, no longer require re-submission by the bidder of any already made submission. ***** Opportunity Details *****

BC Hydro is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to provide bulk fuel, oil, and lubricants to support its generation operations, fleet activities, and microwave/repeater sites. These products are essential for maintaining reliable electricity generation, efficient fleet performance, and the continuous operation of remote communication infrastructure.

BC Hydro ’s annual fuel demand exceeds 20 million litres, with an estimated annual spend of approximately $37 million. This level of demand is expected to remain consistent over the next decade and reflects ongoing operational requirements.

The supplied products will support power generation at 14 non-integrated sites, microwave and repeater locations, fleet operations across two garages, wheel-to-wheel fleet requirements, and fuel needs associated with new construction projects.

This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
