Fraudulent Calls Spoofing ANACOM Customer Service Number

ANACOM issued a consumer fraud warning after receiving multiple reports on 6–7 April 2026 of spoofed calls falsely appearing to originate from its customer service number (800 206 665). The callers impersonated ANACOM staff, cited fabricated illegal activities, referenced Portuguese Criminal Investigation Police, and pressured recipients to disclose personal data. ANACOM explicitly states it does not make unsolicited telephone contact and does not request personal information by phone. Consumers are advised not to answer or return calls from the spoofed number and to report suspected fraud to police.
