Route 87 Bridge Replacement Over Slab Run in Hillsgrove Township, Sullivan County

PennDOT announced a $1.5 million bridge replacement project on Route 87 over Slab Run in Hillsgrove Township, Sullivan County. Contractor John Nastase Construction will begin mobilizing equipment on April 27, 2026, with work including shoulder widening, half-width construction, mill and resurface, line painting, guide rail upgrades, and stream restoration. PennDOT announces a $2,227,777 bridge replacement project on Route 87 over Ogdonia Creek in Sullivan County. Contractor John Nastase Construction will install temporary signals and a one-lane temporary bridge on April 28, 2026, to maintain traffic during demolition of the existing structure and construction of the new bridge. The project is expected to reach completion in fall 2026.
