Five Licensing Boards Moving to eLIPSE Portal March 30, 2026

The MA Division of Occupational Licensure is moving five boards (Architects, Embalming and Funeral Directing, Landscape Architects, Public Accountancy, and Real Estate Appraisers) to its new eLIPSE online portal on March 30, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. ePLACE access for these boards will end on March 25, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., with users advised to complete all applications, renewals, or updates by 4:00 p.m. that day. Two already-transitioned boards — Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons and Plumbers and Gas Fitters — will experience brief service interruptions during the transition window.

eLIPSE Platform Launches for Five Additional Professional Licensing Boards

The Massachusetts Division of Occupational Licensure has expanded its eLIPSE online licensing platform to five additional professional boards: the Board of Registration of Architects, Board of Registration in Embalming and Funeral Directing, Board of Registration of Landscape Architects, Board of Public Accountancy, and Board of Registration of Real Estate Appraisers. Applicants and licensees of these boards must register with Mass.gov business credentials to access the platform for licensing and permitting services. The platform previously served Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons and Plumbers and Gas Fitters, with additional boards planned for future phases.
