WRC Ireland: Applications for Board Chairperson and Ordinary Member
The Irish Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment is inviting applications for the positions of Chairperson and Ordinary Member to the Board of the Workplace Relations Commission. The application deadline is November 11, 2025.
Public Consultation on Remote Working Legislation Review
The Irish Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment has launched a public consultation to review the operation of the right to request remote working legislation introduced in March 2024. The consultation seeks views from employers, employees, and other stakeholders on the effectiveness and clarity of the current provisions.
WRC Christmas and New Year Infoline Hours
The Irish Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has announced its infoline hours and office closures for the Christmas and New Year period of 2025-2026. Offices will be closed on December 25th and 26th, 2025, and January 1st, 2026. Phone lines will have reduced hours on December 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2025, resuming normal hours on January 2nd, 2026.
Workplace Relations Commission Appointments
Minister Alan Dillon announced the appointment of Kevin Foley as Chairperson and Rachael Ryan as a Board Member of Ireland's Workplace Relations Commission (WRC). These appointments, made under the Workplace Relations Act 2015, follow open recruitment processes and are for five and two years respectively, commencing March 2, 2026.
