NM Insurance Bulletin 2021-026 Repealed

The New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance has repealed Bulletin No. 2021-026. Enrollment reporting procedures will now be communicated via email and through the OSI website, replacing the previous bulletin's guidance.

New Mexico Insurance Bulletin 2026-005 Issued, Bulletin 2022-004 Repealed

The New Mexico Office of the Superintendent of Insurance has issued Bulletin 2026-005, which repeals Bulletin 2022-004. Bulletin 2022-004 was originally issued on April 4, 2022. The new bulletin was issued on January 12, 2026.

Ruidoso Insurance Policyholders Downgraded to Class 3 Rating

The New Mexico Office of the Superintendent of Insurance issued a bulletin notifying insurers that Ruidoso, NM policyholders are being downgraded from a Class 2 to a Class 3 Public Protection Classification (PPC) rating, effective July 1, 2026. Insurers must notify affected policyholders within 90 days of the bulletin.

Repeal of Insurance Bulletin 2023-009

The New Mexico Insurance Department has repealed Bulletin No. 2023-009, originally issued on April 6, 2023. This action formally removes the previous bulletin from effect. The repeal is effective as of January 27, 2026.

Ruidoso Policyholders Move from Class 2 to Class 3 Rating

Policyholders in Ruidoso's fire service protection areas will move from a class 2 to a class 3 rating, effective July 1, 2026.
