What changed

The Oregon Medical Board published its February 2026 Board Action Report summarizing new enforcement actions against medical licensees. Notable actions include: three Consent Agreements for Re-Entry to Practice requiring supervised practice under pre-approved physician mentors for 500 hours; one Interim Stipulated Order placing a physician's license in Inactive status pending investigation into safe and competent practice; and one Notice of Proposed Disciplinary Action. The Board explicitly notes that interim stipulated orders and notices of proposed disciplinary action are preliminary actions and do not represent final Board determinations.

Healthcare providers and medical practices operating in Oregon should monitor this report for updates on ongoing investigations. The interim stipulated order for Dr. Rummel highlights the Board's active investigation into licensee competency concerns, with license inactivation pending outcome. Medical facilities with staff holding Oregon licenses should verify current license status through the Board's verification system. The report excludes certain non-disciplinary actions such as consent agreements without practice limitations and termination of corrective action agreements, which remain available upon public request.

What to do next

  1. Licensees must notify the Oregon Medical Board within 10 days as to how patients may access or obtain their medical records
