DHHS Announces Availability of Full SNAP Benefits
Concord, NH – New Hampshire has received notification from its federal partners that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will be fully funded for November. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is processing payments so that people who receive SNAP can access benefits on their EBT cards this weekend. The State will send further information once all funding has been disbursed.
“I am glad to announce today that New Hampshire will receive full SNAP benefits for the month of November, and I thank DHHS for their efforts to quickly get these payments out to Granite Staters. I also want to thank the New Hampshire Food Bank for working with us to help our neighbors in need,” said Governor Kelly Ayotte. “We’re going to keep working to ensure our most vulnerable citizens get the services they need for as long as this shutdown continues. To make sure there is no further disruption to these important programs, Washington must open the federal government.”
“Our state teams have worked tirelessly to ensure that people across New Hampshire receive their SNAP benefits as quickly as possible,” said DHHS Commissioner Lori Weaver. “I am grateful for the support of our many community partners who have assisted SNAP recipients over the past several weeks. Everyone deserves the peace of mind that comes with having enough to eat, and we will continue to help families access the food assistance they need to support their health and well-being.”
Applications for SNAP will continue to be processed during the federal government shutdown.
