The Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) has issued a notice reminding all registered childminders and childcare and play providers in Wales, registered before December 31, 2025, that the deadline to complete their Self-Assessment of Service Statement (SASS) 2026 is March 27, 2026. This is a legal requirement under The Child Minding and Day Care (Wales) Regulations 2010, and failure to submit the SASS by the deadline could affect future service ratings.

Providers who have not yet completed their SASS must log into their CIW Online account immediately. The CIW provides guidance and support, including video guides and contact information for assistance.
