Het Prinses Margrietkanaal is op vrijdag 24 april 2026 volledig gestremd om een groot brugdeel met een drijvende bok op een ponton te hijsen. Het gaat om het beweegbare brugdeel voor de nieuwe brug aan de zuidzijde van de Schinkelbrug (A10 Zuid) in Amsterdam.
De stremming van de vaarweg vindt plaats tussen 08.00 en 17.00 uur ter hoogte van de insteekhaven bij brug Burgumerdaam. Zodra het brugdek veilig en stabiel op het ponton staat, wordt de vaarweg weer vrijgegeven voor de scheepvaart.

Brugdeel verplaatst
Het brugdeel is gemaakt door Solidd Steel Structures in Sumar en wordt verplaatst naar Amsterdam. De stalen kolos is 26 m hoog, 21 m breed en weegt ongeveer 300.000 kg, qua gewicht vergelijkbaar met een volgeladen passagiersvliegtuig. Het is bedoeld als een van de vier nieuwe bruggen van de Schinkelbrug.
Mocht het hijsen van het brugdeel niet lukken op vrijdag 24 april, dan is er nog een mogelijkheid om op zaterdag 25 april te hijsen. De scheepvaart is eerder via een BAS-bericht geïnformeerd over de stremming.
