Anita Wagley CPA Reprimanded, Must Complete Ethics Training
The West Virginia Board of Accountancy issued a consent agreement reprimanding CPA Anita Wagley (License No. WV005442) for failing to exercise due professional care. The Board found she failed to respond to client D.A.'s communications regarding missing payroll tax filings and quarterly reports for 2019, and failed to cooperate with the Board's investigation by not responding to multiple Board requests for information. As part of the settlement, Wagley is reprimanded and must complete 8 hours of ethics training within 6 months.
Freddie Boone CPA License and Blake & Boone Firm Permit Revoked
The West Virginia Board of Accountancy issued a Final Order on February 21, 2025, revoking the CPA license of Freddie M. Boone, Jr. (License No. WV000756) and the firm permit of Blake & Boone AC (Permit No. F0001). The Board found by a preponderance of the evidence that Respondents violated professional standards by demonstrating unethical and unprofessional conduct, including failure to maintain enrollment in the AICPA Peer Review Program while performing attest and compilation services. Mr. Boone must reimburse the Board $1,606.15 in investigation expenses and immediately surrender his credentials.
Shay Sachetti Loses CPA License for Falsified Continuing Education
The West Virginia Board of Accountancy revoked CPA Shay Sachetti's license (No. WV005026) for three years after finding he submitted fraudulent continuing education reports for 2021, admitting he used free online classes to fill his CPE report without completing required courses. Respondent must reimburse $754.00 in administrative costs within six months and complete 40 hours of CPE plus NASBA's Professional Ethical Leadership Training program before any reinstatement can be considered.
William Earp CPA License Revoked for Unfiled Tax Returns
The West Virginia Board of Accountancy issued a Final Order revoking CPA William Glenn Earp's license (WV004190) after he failed to file a client's tax returns, failed to appear at the administrative hearing, and violated multiple Board orders. Earp must pay a $1,000 fine and $2,041.75 in investigation expenses, surrender his license immediately, and cease using the CPA designation.
