CPA Exam Scores Released Rolling Throughout Year

The Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy (MS CPA Board) published guidance from the AICPA explaining that CPA Exam scores are released on a rolling basis throughout the year. The AICPA announces score release dates for the first half of the year in December of the prior year and for the second half by June of the current year. The target score release date indicates when the AICPA transmits scores to NASBA for processing to candidates.

New CPA Licensure Pathway Effective July 1, 2026

The Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy announces a new CPA licensure pathway effective July 1, 2026, requiring a baccalaureate degree and two years of experience. The existing pathway of a baccalaureate degree with up to 150 semester hours plus one year of experience remains valid. A new clarification also confirms that a postgraduate degree with one year of experience is acceptable. All pathways require an accounting concentration and passage of all Uniform CPA Exam parts.
