Safety Zone, Cheboygan River and Black River, Cheboygan, MI
The Coast Guard has established a temporary safety zone on navigable waters of the Cheboygan River from the Cheboygan Lock and Dam Complex to the river's outlet from Mullett Lake, and the Black River from its confluence to Alverno Dam in Cheboygan, Michigan. The zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards associated with flood waters. Entry into the zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Northern Great Lakes.
