What changed

The Idaho PUC granted intervention status to the Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association (IIPA) in Case No. IPC-E-26-08, permitting the association to participate as a party in proceedings concerning Idaho Power Company's annual update to marginal pricing schedules. The Commission found that intervention would serve the purposes of Rule 74 and that no party timely opposed the petition. All parties are now required to comply with Commission Rules 71-75 and 222-223, serve all future filings on IIPA's designated representatives, and comply with prior Order No. 35375.

For affected parties, this intervention grants IIPA formal standing to submit pleadings, participate in discovery, and provide testimony on marginal pricing matters that may affect irrigation pumpers' utility costs. Idaho Power and other existing parties must now include IIPA in all service of documents and administrative processes. The intervention does not alter the substantive issues in the rate case but expands the range of interests represented in the proceeding.
