Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association Granted Intervention in Idaho Power Rate Case
Summary
The Idaho Public Utilities Commission granted Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association's petition to intervene in Case No. IPC-E-26-07, Idaho Power Company's cost-of-service rate methodology proceeding. No party timely opposed the intervention petition. The Commission found intervention would serve the purposes described by Commission Rule 74. All parties must comply with Commission Rules 71-75 and 222-223, serve documents on all parties of record, and comply with prior Order No. 35375.
What changed
The Idaho Public Utilities Commission issued Order No. 36997 granting Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association's petition to intervene in Idaho Power Company's cost-of-service rate methodology proceeding. The Commission found no timely opposition to the intervention and determined participation would serve the purposes of intervention under Rule 74.
Affected parties in the proceeding—including Idaho Power and other existing parties—must now serve all documents on IIPA's designated representatives (Eric L. Olsen, Lance Kaufman, and Deborah Glosser). This is a procedural order that grants IIPA party status but does not decide any substantive issues regarding rate methodology or cost allocation. The case continues as a rate proceeding affecting how Idaho Power allocates costs among customer classes including large-load agricultural irrigation customers.
What to do next
- Comply with Idaho PUC Rules 71-75 and 222-223
- Serve all documents on IIPA representatives
- Comply with Order No. 35375
