Texas Education Agency Launches Hotline for Homeless Students Under McKinney-Vento Act

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has launched the TEHCY Support Hotline (1-855-858-3429) to provide real-time technical assistance to families and educators supporting students experiencing homelessness under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. The hotline operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CST, and complements a web-based intake form and the existing TEHCY Regional Network of 20 Education Service Centers supporting over 1,200 school systems.
