OBBBA Webinar Series for Schools
Summary
Federal Student Aid announced a new OBBBA Webinar Series to help schools understand implementation of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Two live Q&A sessions are scheduled for April 10, 2026 (Schedule of Reductions) and April 17, 2026 (Legacy Loan Limits). Participation is optional, with recordings and transcripts to be posted on the FSA Training Center.
What changed
Federal Student Aid is hosting live webinars in April 2026 to address technical questions about OBBBA provisions affecting student loan limits. The first webinar on April 10 covers the schedule of reductions that institutions must use when reducing annual loan limits for students not enrolled full-time. The second webinar on April 17 addresses legacy loan limit provisions in the Act.
Schools and financial aid administrators who work with federal student loans should attend these sessions to clarify implementation questions. Participation is first-come, first-served (up to 5,000 attendees per session) with no registration required. Zoom links are provided for each session. Recordings and transcripts will be available on the FSA Training Center the week following each live event for those unable to attend.
