Campus-based program deadline dates announced for 2026-27
Summary
The Department of Education published a Federal Register notice announcing the deadline dates for the 2026-27 award year for campus-based financial aid programs. The notice covers the Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Work-Study, and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Programs. Participating schools must adhere to the specified submission deadlines to receive program allocations for the upcoming award year.
What changed
The Department of Education issued a notice establishing the annual deadline dates for the 2026-27 award year for three campus-based student financial aid programs: the Federal Perkins Loan Program, the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program, and the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Program. The notice specifies the deadline dates in a chart format for schools to use when planning their campus-based program administration.
Participating schools must ensure their internal processes allow sufficient time to submit allocation requests and other required documents to meet the federal deadlines. Students relying on these programs should contact their school's financial aid office to confirm institutional deadlines, as schools often set earlier internal deadlines to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
What to do next
- Review deadline chart in Federal Register notice for 2026-27 award year dates
- Ensure institutional deadlines align with federal submission requirements
- Submit campus-based allocation requests before published deadlines
