What changed
The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has issued a notice to delete two systems of records from its inventory that are subject to the Privacy Act of 1974. The systems being deleted are 'Reserve Training Records' (LDIA 0480), which have been migrated to the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), and 'DoD Hotline Referrals' (LDIA 0275), which have been migrated into the 'Investigations and Complaints' system. This action is administrative in nature, involving the consolidation or obsolescence of record systems.
This notice is a proposal to delete these records systems, with an effective date of April 7, 2008, unless comments are received that lead to a different conclusion. The DIA is soliciting comments and has provided an address for submission. Regulated entities, specifically government agencies managing such records, should be aware of this proposed deletion and may submit comments if they have concerns. No specific compliance actions are required for external entities, but internal review of record management practices may be warranted.
What to do next
