Summary

What changed

The RBI released auction results for two government securities on April 2, 2026. The 6.68% GS 2040 (maturing 2040) had a notified amount of ₹17,000 crore with 240 competitive bids received and 139 accepted. The 7.43% GS 2076 (maturing 2076) had a notified amount of ₹12,000 crore with 120 competitive bids received and 36 accepted. Partial allotment percentages were 73.4956% for the 2040 tranche and 27.1360% for the 2076 tranche. Non-competitive bids totaled ₹13.994 crore and ₹14.465 crore respectively, with full acceptance of both.
