Shenandoah Rail With Trail Assessment Public Meetings Announced
VDOT Staunton District announced three public meetings in April 2026 for the Shenandoah Rail with Trail Assessment. Meetings will be held in Woodstock (April 16), Front Royal (April 23), and Timberville (April 28). The assessment examines rail asset and bridge restoration alongside adjacent trail construction on the Norfolk Southern corridor between Broadway and Front Royal. Public feedback will be collected via meetings, an online survey, and direct contact with VDOT.
