Railroad Crews will be performing work at the Railroad Crossing on SR 27 / SR 90
The road closure will begin on May 17  and continue through May 21

Vienna, GA: The Georgia DOT advises Talbot County motorists that a railroad crews will start today. Railroad crews will be on SR 27/ SR 90 at the Railroad crossing to perform maintenance work. The project will be active from May 17-21. This work will improve the crossing for motorists traveling on SR 27/90.  An off-site detour is anticipated.

Please note that dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists should anticipate extended travel times and delays.  Please avoid this closure area if at all possible.

When: Starting May 17.  2026,  9 am daily

Advisory: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
