BOISE – The Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles has released a new America 250 license plate, giving Idaho drivers a way to commemorate the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary while supporting state programs.
The America 250 plate features a red, white, and blue design celebrating the United States’ semiquincentennial in 2026. The plate is available at county DMV offices and online at dmv.idaho.gov. Standard vehicle registration fees apply, along with a specialty plate fee that supports the Idaho State Historical Society.
“This plate gives Idahoans a chance to mark a historic milestone and show their pride on the road,” said DMV Administrator Lisa McClellan. “We’re proud to offer a design that honors our country’s past while supporting Idaho’s efforts to preserve its own history.”
