Tuesday, April 07, 2026 | 04:26pm Memphis, TN — The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) announces upcoming full closures on I‑55 and SR‑14 to support demolition activities on the exit ramp bridge at Exit 7. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and follow posted detour routes.

Beginning Tonight at 8:00 p.m., the northbound I-55 ramp to southbound SR-14 (3rd Street) will be closed. This closure will remain in place indefinitely to support ongoing construction activities.

Weekend Closure – I‑55
From Friday, April 10, at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 13, at 5:00 a.m., all lanes of northbound **** and southbound I‑55 at Exit 7 will be fully closed for bridge demolition. Detours will be in place.

Backup dates *:** Monday, April 20 – Thursday, April 23.*

Beginning Monday, April 13, at 8:00 p.m., the northbound I-55 ramp to northbound SR-14 (3 rd Street) and the southbound I-55 ramp to southbound SR-14 (3 rd Street) will be closed. These closures will remain in place for approximately four (4) months.
