Colorado Springs — The Colorado Department of Transportation and its contract partner, SEMA Construction, Inc., will have lane closures on southbound Interstate 25 between Fillmore Street (near Mile Point 144) and Garden of the Gods Road (near MP 146). These closures are necessary for the safety of the traveling public and construction crews.
During the planned overnight lane closures on Thursday, April 16, the southbound left and middle lanes will be closed while crews cut into the pavement to prepare for roadway repairs.
On Friday, April 17, crews will be conducting bridge deck repairs, and the removal and replacement of expansion devices on both ends of the bridge. On Sunday, April 19, crews will finish bridge deck repairs and implement a traffic shift to allow crews to continue roadway work behind barriers.
The full closure of southbound I-25 at Garden of the Gods Road and detour route will be in effect from:

From 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., there will be a full closure of southbound I-25 at Garden of the Gods Road.
The following detour route will be in effect:- Motorists traveling southbound on I-25: Motorists should take Exit 146 to Garden of the Gods Road. Motorists should turn right (heading west) on Garden of the Gods Road, turn left (heading south) on Centennial Boulevard and continue straight to reconnect with southbound I-25 past Fillmore Street near Centennial Boulevard
Two lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, and Monday, April 20, with one lane remaining closed
All lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday, April 20.
