ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Repairs and resurfacing on nearly 3.5 miles of Highway 51/Snelling Avenue in Arden Hills and Roseville begins Monday, April 27, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Work is planned on the highway between Highway 36 in Roseville and Grey Fox Road in Arden Hills. During the project, construction crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
This project also will revise the signal systems at Highway 51/Snelling Ave. at the following cross streets:
- County Road B-2
- County Road C
- County Road C-2
- Lydia Ave. and
- County Road E Pedestrian and bicycle access will be improved with a new trail section between Lydia Ave. and Snelling Ave. N. along with upgrades to ADA crossings and storm sewer systems.
Work on the highway will be completed by late August, before the start of the Minnesota State Fair. Additional work on the signal systems will begin after Labor Day and be completed by early October.
This work is necessary to maintain the highway system and to make accessibility improvements.
