- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Follow on LinkedIn Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a high friction surface treatment is expected to be applied this weekend to a section of southbound Interstate 81 in Lebanon County. This work will be performed on an approximately 0.5-mile section of southbound I-81 near Mile Marker 93, north of Exit 90 (Route 72/Lebanon).
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 5:00 AM Saturday, April 25, to approximately midnight on Sunday, April 26. The right lane will be closed and there will be single-lane restriction in place during this work.
Travelers should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This work is also expected to be performed later on northbound and southbound I-81 around Mile Marker 85, which is several miles west of the I-81/I-78 split. An updated press release will be issued when this work is scheduled.
